Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the brewery. Pours brown with a foamy khaki head that settles into a cream. Enjoyable if a little basic, some ashy bitterness, chalky cocoa, earth, grapefruit pith. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further ashy roast, dry chocolate, toasted grass and citrus peel. Fine.

Taste comprises mellow roast, light charr, toffee, dried fruits, light pine needle, grassy, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Ok CDA if a little stuck in 3rd gear.

Can from the brewery and drunk at home. Black beer lasting tan head. Not really my style so interesting to see what this is like. now that's a bit unusual for the style for me. Some dark malt. Not really roast malt just darkish malts but not too heavy. What's the flavour? Well some fruit yes. Some citrus fruits? Citrus fruits and very light chocolate. It's fine. Still not sure what the point is. Would be a better beer in my opinion without the dark malts. Would have been a nice citrus hoppy session ale. Hmmm.
