Both UnBarred and Dark Star started life in Brighton & Hove. Now all grown up and brewing in rural Sussex, these two imaginative breweries have hooked up to bring us this extra special brew for Brighton & Hove Beer Week.

UnReal is a full-bodied session NEIPA, generously hopped with a mix of US (Crystal, Simcoe), Australian (Galaxy) and NZ hops (Nelson Sauvin). This is tropical fruits in a glass!

Can from Drinkmonger. Murky golden body with a lasting white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of peach and lemon cake. Flavour of peanut shell, grapefruit and pineapple. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. I could drink lots of this.

4.7% low bitterness with hints of pine. On tap at Fuggles Beer Cafe Tunbridge Wells. Turbid dirty gold colour. Turbid NEIPA style beer. Some white flour like mouth feel. Not unpleasant OK in the end. Tropical and citrus fruit flavours. It's just that mouth feel. Get rid of that and this would be fruity super drinkable.
