Cask at the splendid riverside Red Lion pub in Norwich. Clear amber with a very thin head. Bland hoppy, some sugars, fairly easy drinking.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a clear dark amber with nice moderate sized off-white head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma is quite minerally and grassy with biscuit notes. Taste of caramel, biscuit, spice, citrus, mineral and grassy crisp finish. Light to medium bodied but a good full feel for the strength. Has more going on than your average malty amber ale. Enjoyed it.

5/1/2021. Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, caramel, biscuit, with a touch of liquorice. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Not a big fan of this.
