Bottle at home from the brewery. A good pour of what is, in my opinion, a classic example of an old school English pale ale. And there is nothing wrong with that at all. Lots of malt, but an emphasis on the bitter hops brought lots of flavour and a pleasing mouthfeel. All at just over 4% abv and perfect for the weather.

Cask at Great Northern. St Albans on 10th March 2017. Clear amber with disappearing, non-lacing off-white foam. Malty aroma with tangy fruits. Citrus, berries and caramel malt in-mouth. A hint of fresh apple. Spicy and malty finish. Light body and an equally light mouthfeel. A drinkable, and interesting ale.
