Cask at Victoria, Derby (not yet listed in RateBeer). Pours bitter brown with a small white head. Malts to the fore in the aroma, but with hints of hoppiness lurking below. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, but mainly bitter with traditional hops and malts on a caramel base. Hints of citrus and spices too, and these carry over into the finish. This is decent.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a coppery orange with an off white head. Aroma is spicy and malt. Taste is forward bitter, fruity, light spice, bold maltiness.

19/1/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery, part of a mixed selection case they advertised on fb. Pours clear dark amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty, biscuit, toffee, hops. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice bittersweet and fruity finish. A flavoursome and quite robust ale, seemed more than it's 4%. Quite enjoyed it.

300ml bottle as part of a delivery from the brewery. Copper-coloured and clear. Sharp aroma: spicy, some metallic notes, cheese, caramel, stewed tea. Tastes bittersweet and balanced, with a good dollop of bittering hops lingering in the finish. Lots of carbonation in the body. Above average for the style, and with bags of character, it may not be an everyday beer for me but I'm enjoying it.

Tried at the three horseshoes, Waddington. Amber colour with a thick off white head and good lacing. Malty and light caramel aroma with a hoppy punch. The taste is similar with a light sweetness.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, July 2015. Golden in colour, with a decent, white, head. Leafy hops, a touch of citrus fruit, crisp malts and a dryish finish. Good.
