Een feestelijk, luxueus bier om een bijzondere gebeurtenis in je leven mee te vieren. Jubel is een vineuze dark sour waar een lichte hint van sherry of port in doorschemert, als in een oudere barleywine of quadrupel.
We hebben het bier samen met Hedonis gebrouwen en daarna 8 maanden laten rijpen op eikenhouten vaten. Deze vaten hebben we bewust iets minder vol gedaan dan gebruikelijk, zodat de zuurstof in de vaten de kans kreeg om samen met de sherry flor een fraai oxidatief karakter te vormen. Je proeft donker geroosterde noten, kastanjehoning, gedroogd fruit en een vleugje cacao bovenop de bittere tannines van de geroosterde mout. Jubel heeft een rond, filmend mondgevoel dat hem samen met de milde zuren tot een zachtaardig, bijna lieflijk bier maakt. Een kleine vreugdedans op je tong.

Bottle, directly from shop in Taplokaal Nevel. Color: Slightly hazy dark ruby, beige head. Aroma: Fruity grape and some dark cherry, vinuous, subtle funky, hints of caramel. Taste: Light to moderate tart combined with light to moderate sweetness. Bit vinuous. Fruity notes of red grape, dried grape, some grapeskin and hints of dark and red fruit too. Caramel hints. Malty base. Dry mouthfeel with hints of Sherry and subtle notes of wild yeast funk. Medium body, below average carbonation. Another nice Nevel.

By Klobb på B&B 01.11. Vi starter med 5 fatøl, og denne er sistemann ut: klar mørk rubinfarge med ok skum. Røde bær, urter, vanilje og sherrytoner. God maltsmak kommer i tillegg til den fortreffelige mersmaken.

Little cloudy deep brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sourish, lots of vinegar, soft roast, wood notes, red berries, caramel, vanilla, nice, very complex, bit sharp in the acidity though. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sour start, vinegar notes, also rather bitter, quite some tannins, little fruity. Aftertaste: very dry, tannins, some vinegar, bit hoppy.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy deep reddish brown with beige head. Oh yeah this is so nice funky and fruity with nice oak and funk. Great, again.

Bottle. Dark brown color. H8nts of roast, caramel, but especially sherry in the aroma. Sour flavor, well rounded, with red fruit and caramel. Sherry. Soft bretty notes. Rounded, balance and complexity, what a treat!

Bottle at tasting. Aroma of sherry, oak, vineus red grape, yeast and tart. Taste has rich tart red grape, vineus oak, sherry, yeast, subtle vanilla, figs and a rich complex finish. Really good.
