Aroma of wort and hard water. Taste is dominated by wort with hints of caramel far beneath followed by harsh metallic bitterness, short-lived. Soft carbonated. Original review text: 500ml can celebrating Walpurgisnacht. Clear, tan coloured body. Nice lacing on the glass. Smell of malt and wort. More malt and burnt wort in flavour supported by a caramel touch. After a while in the glass it becomes more grainy and gives the impression of drinking crisp bread (30.04.2007).

Boks fra HelgøMeny, Hundvågkrossen: nydelig utseende - gylden teak og tett beige skum. Nesten ingen aroma. Litt karamell-og maltsødme med ok munnfriskhet. Nesten ikke bitterhet. Gjorde seg kald fra kjøleskapet etter en salt fiskemiddag.

Klar gylden brun i fargen med kremete høyt offwhite skum. Lett karamell og malt i lukten. Søt smak, litt brent karamell. Medium kullsyre, lite bitterhet

Can. Pours brown with a finger thick creamy head. Aroma is almost absent, but some whiffs of sweet malts and light smoke get through. Normal body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts. Quite neutral, all in all.

500ml can@home 06.08.13. Light brown, with average fizzy head that rapidly diminishes into a thin layer, leaving a hint of lacing on the glass. Sweet aroma: caramel, honey and wort. Taste of prunes, sugar, dates and cereal. A bit too sweet and carbonated. Obviously a bit thin, but all in all it’s okay for a low alcohol beer.
