Munkholm Bayer har en nøttebrun farge. Aromaen er preget av nybakt grovbrød, høy, ristet malt og kjeks, med et hint av humle. Smaken er lett fyldig med en balansert bitterhet og full maltsmak.

Canned (thanks yngwie!). Deep golden colour, mediumsized fluffy beige head. Aroma is harsh grass and melted plastic/rubber along with some metal. In the beginning the flavour is quite metallic and rubbery, but this vanishes quickly and turns into some casrdboard, malts and even some hops and mild fruits. Actually a nice flavour for a low alcohol.

Can. A light amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and ascorbin acid. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and ascorbin acid, combined with notes of straw in the finish. The body is thin - no wonder.

(Can 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Clear, deep golden with a creamy, white head. Lightly sweet aroma of roasted malt. Thin and watery body with some roasted malt accents. Accents of steeped grain. Dry and lightly bitter finish. Not too bad for a Low Alcohol. 110108

Can. Weird fruity aroma. Clear light brown colour. Small big-bubbled head, thin mouthfeel. The flavour is also thin, caramelly with some bread and brown sugar. Quite bready, but none of the horrible bitterness that Alkofreis sometimes have.

Can. Clear, dark golden with a nice, small white head. Sweet, caramel aroma with grains. A bit sweet taste as well, with generous amounts of citrusy hops coming towards the finish. Surprisingly full-bodied for a N/A beer (medium) and there’s some grains and malt to balance the hops in the finish. Compared to pale lagers available in Norway, I rate it quite high, but that’s mostly due to the hops. That also makes it a much more balanced beer than all of the other Munkholm beer. (I think there’s 10 of them now. Fu** Ringnes’ marketing department for most of them, this is probably the only one worth drinking IMO.) (070325)

500 ml can, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. This is not a "dark" n/a beer like the label says, it is a golden n/a beer, deep golden if you like. Fluffy white head. The aroma has some of the same sweetish and "boiled" notes of the other Munkholm beers (bad), but there are also some flowery aromatic hops around (good). Flavour is pretty sweet with some weak caramel notes, but there are just enough hops around to make the beer drinkable if cold. Hell, it’s a n/a beer, and you don’t expect much, but if you HAVE TO drive, or avoid alcohol of other reasons, this is the "best" Munkholm beer I’ve had so far.
