Cask at Prince of Wales Beer Fest, Farnborough. Pungent aroma - silage? Malty. Dark Brown. Head just skims the surface. Medium in bitterness and body. Does slip down. Malts. Sour berries. Average so that’s 2.5.

Cask @ Beer Shack, Burnley. Dark amber-brown with a thin head. It doesn’t have a high bitterness but it’s within this style with plenty of tasty grain and biscuit notes. Has a sweetness that’s greatest in its nose.

Cask: half-pint at the 2014 Lincoln Beer Festival. Dark brown body to this malty brew, the nose giving nothing away, it’s the taste that is dominated by the maltiness. Fairly bitter but the malts rule the flavouring completely, maybe a mild hop bitterness in the finish, but only very slight.

Tried at the CAMRA Lincoln beer festival 2014. Not a full rating as drunk as part of a whole day session. Since tried at the three horseshoes, Waddington and slightly updated. Decent enough bitter. Very drinkable.
