Cask @ The Baum, Rochdale. Golden-blonde with a frothy head. Dry in the palate and lingering, it’s a slightly malty pale ale.

Bottle shared with dad (courtesy of dad, cheers dad!) Thursday 12th March 2015 Light gold with a white head, some fruitiness and a little hoppiness on the nose, however not particularly citric. Malty in mouth with a little digestive biscuit in mouth, tastes like English hops, bit rustic, bit fruity. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a slight haze and a nice head. Nose - strangely for a pale beer there is something resembling dark chocolate or coffee. Maybe dried fruits is closer to the actual note. Taste - sultanas and dried orange. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - decent ale and very interesting.

Cask-conditioned at the brewery tap, the Trent Navigation, Nottingham 16/2/2014. Deep gold with a tight, off-white head. Stone fruits, leafy hops, some tangerines, solid, almost spicy malts and a lingering bitter finish. Very good.
