Bottle from The Beerhive. Murky amber/brown body with a massive off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee, peach, apricot and stewed apple. Flavour of tea, blackcurrant, blood orange and peppery spice. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Lively fizz. Not bad but feels like it is lacking something.

Bottle courtesy of next door neighbours Geraint & Helen (thanks!), consumed at home, Sunday 28th December 2014 Despite being my top UK brewery of the year this beer goes a little way to undo much of the good work that went beforehand. A very, very slight hint of vinegar on nose (slight but noticeable) suggests that this is possibly infected. A tart fruity beer (probably not meant to be so tart) bit of a perfumey flavour. Really disappointed with this. A5 A4 T5 P4 Ov10 2.6

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Leighton, 24/10/14. Hazed orange/amber with a big old light beige covering that retains well. Nose is bitter citric peel, grapefruit, earthy, rye bread, orange pith. Taste comprises juicy citrics, mandarin, hops, soft bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mineral rinse and earthy hops in the close. Decent hoppy amber.

Hazy deep amber beer, good white head. Palate is light, dry and crisp. Airy malts, thin. Mild malts. Mild mild orange hops. Whispers of skunk and floralness. Airy semi dry finish. Light and pleasant but not really up to the standard of most of W&T’s recent releases.
