Great Grey Owl is made with a medley of 5 American hops, including Citra to deliver a punch that belies its low ABV.
Strong early fruitiness leads to a lasting Bitterness a la Butcombe Bitter making for a very drinkable, bitter Summer Pale Ale

Tap(Beachy Head Hotel, Eastbourne): Deep golden, loose off-white foamy layer, spicy hoppy nose with a tinge of cough syrup; dry bitter-swet flavour, light bodied; subdued caramel in the lingering spicy hoppy finish. Quite an english ale…

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Copper-coloured with a thick creamy head. Has plenty of pale ale fruity-hoppy notes, but not overbearing in aroma or taste.

Cask at the Golden Retriever, Wokingham. Stillage during their summer beer festival. Not very well kept; warm, slightly cloudy and not much in the way of hop aromas coming through. Not unpleasant flavours, but the bitterness was very light and seemed more in the style of an English golden ale than an American Pale.
