Gold Wing is a clean, crisp and nearly dry golden ale with rewarding, delicate citrus aromas and a moreish finish at 4% abv. In our opinion this is one of the finest ales in cumbria brewed by mark corr at the strands brewery.

28/8/2019. Cask at The Last Zebra, Carlisle served in a dimpled mug. Pours golden with a long lasting creamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, fruit, biscuit and straw. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, soft carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at the Scafell Hotel, Rossthwaite. Deep gold with a white head. Grassy hops with a little lemon. Chalky mouthfeel, mildly dry. Not for me.
