Can at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Leighton, 20/01/13. Dark chestnut brown with a light tan head that soon clears. Nose is toffee, dark malt, spice, banana, yeast. Taste comprises sweet brown sugars, toffee, malt, rye bread. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Ok/average.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks eyes_wide_shut. Brown-colored with a beige head. Sweet malty caramelly aroma with some toastiness and light alcohol notes. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, toastiness and a slightly drier finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle 500ml. [ As Stolichno Bock Beer ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, oxidide, light roasted, coffee notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long to average duration, cold coffee, sweet malt, sugar, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Heavy malty and light hopy aroma. Caramel and chocolate notes. Light bitter4 nice caramellic flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Coca-cola coloured beer with a dense beige head. Sweet-roasted notes, bread crust, with a sweetish background, and some wild parsley. Sweet with again much roasted (if dull) notes. Again bready, and roasted nuts. Spritzy, bit empty palate, slick, long sweetish-dark aftertatste. Oh well - for the place it hails from... Thanks to Stef!

Bottle, atop a hotel deck looking over the Black Sea. Pours a dark, cola brown with a moderately creamy tan head. Sweet, molasses aroma with loads of malts. Flavor is sweet but not cloying, with dark, ripe fruit notes and only faint bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet and slightly sticky. The only dark beer I found [made] in Bulgaria - and it was a good one.

bottle, pours dark brown, tall tan head. Aroma is toffee and mollasis mixed with a light malt tone. Taste is an overly-sweet malt with a coffee and burnt malt aftertaste with little to no hop presence. Not bad, compared to most beers in this country, but still rather boring.
