Old rating, received as a gift. This was a really nice surprise. Very nice porter, roasted notes, really good colour, good taste.

500ml bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Black color with beige head. Aroma is roasted malty and quite hoppy, pine, gold crest and spruce, oat, bread, some chocolate and coffee when it gets warmer. Sweet and light bitter taste. Light watery body with soft carbonation.

Keg at Redrum. It pours darkest brown a decent beige head. The nose is rich roast, coffee, creamy, toffee, coffee cake and some stewed orange. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, toast, bitter-sweet, coffee, orange rind, cocoa, peppery, waxy citrus fruits, marmalade and dark chocolate with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Almost like a black IPA. Solid.

BOTTLE 50 CL from Sharky Dodson.
Some vinegar out of the bottle, that fortunately goes away rather fast. What’s left is a very faint aroma of fresh cut pumpkin and green grassy homebrew-ish hops. The flavour is dry burnt malts (no coffee or chocolate), light body, and (surprise!) quite a hoppy and bitter finish with notes of citrus. Not bad, but rather simplistic, and lacking the fruity chocolaty goodness that we like in a porter.
