Ale brewed with feijoas & aged in wine barrels. A beer that is developing cult like status in NZ and around the world due to its quality and scarcity. Feijoa is New Zealand’s second national fruit and this is surely a one of a kind beer! Be sure to savour the flavour.

Keg at bottle shop druid Street. A translucent golden orange coloured pour with a a frothy white head. Aroma is super sour, lemon, vinegar, sweaty socks, musty grape and plastic, woody apple pips. Flavour is composed of super sour, lemon, spicy sour, surbert, apple, light vinegar,. Mint. Palate is sour, prickly sour, highish carbonation. Weird one.

Pours amber with a small head.Nose shows intense feijoa along with some soft wheat notes underneath.Flavours include more fresh feijoa along with some yuzu-like notes. A reasonable acidity follows along with some more soft wheat-like notes.

Bottle from Cap Tap. Pours brassy gold with a slight white head. Aroma of mildly tart pale fruits. Near med body. It's sort of slick. Flavor quickly provides a BFM sort of taste - tho nowhere near that sour. This is fruity, musty wood, tart and rather dry. Feijoa is pineapple guava - which our neighbor grows. Will have to try one. All in all it's a quite drinkable moderately sour ale.

Happy to have been able to try this one. Great and tasty stuff.
Hazed glowing golden color with a fine white head. Nice intensity in the aroma. Pleasant acidity, fruity and tart. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation level. Easy to drink. Good balanced sweetness, acidity and sourness. Semi dry texture and a fine lasting end. Fruity (feijoa I quess), citric, mild oak and some yeast.
