Abstraction is a robust imperial porter brewed with an array of chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts. Its flavor is a function of complex, carefully selected ingredients and precise brewing application. It tastes like fudgy brownies and milk chocolate without actually adding either to the beer. in other words, its alchemy through artful coaxing of water, hops, malt, and yeast. Despite its dense flavor and heft, Abstraction drinks easily!

Pours a rich near black from a can, little head with minimal lacing. Faint aroma of chocolate roasted malts, baking chocolate. Similar flavor although a little more present. Nice balance bringing out some dryness and bitterness, a little thick. Good beer.

Black with a brown head - Roasted malt aroma - Roated malt body with some chocolate and coffee flavours with a nice bitterness - The roasted malt with coffee and chocolate bitterness goes into the finish - This was real good

Can. Good body, creamy, coffee and a sugary finish. Not cloying but border line. Lactose is noticed by me.

Mostly malty but done well without adjuncts I think. Porters be porters.

Can shared in London - big thanks to Jeremy. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Very well balanced, nice rounded baking cocoa character, moderate ashy roast, some scorched earth, burnt marshmallows. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more bittersweet chocolate, well roasted malts. Great stuff.
