Lion’s Den has the colour of a lion, once you drink it, you feel like a lion and after a few pints you might act like a lion. Just do not blame us, we enjoy making good ale. Lion’s Den is surprisingly bitter. Light malts in the flavour. As a traditional Bitter should be, not too high in alcohol.

Cask at the brewpub. Clear golden color, small white head that’s slightly lacing. Smell and taste malts, slightly a hint of hops, and a buttery bitterness. Typical English bitter. Decent beer.

Tap sampler at the Fiddler brewpub. Clear golden colour, no head. Aroma of citrus, light malty, light sweet, light hoppy. Flavour of citrus, sweet lemon, grain, light bitter grainy finish. Light-bodied, no carbonation. Decent session ale.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a cloudy amber with a thin white frothy head. Classic English bitter aroma. It smells like the sticky cellar floor of a city centre boozer! Sadly though the flavour didn't match the aroma and massively disappointed. There simply wasn't enough bitterness in this brew and the palate was almost none existent. Lions Den? I think the Lion is pushing up the daisies! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
