This hauntingly good brew in your hand is rife with dark complexities. Eleven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected American hops help support the monolithic maltiness of Dark Apparition. A truly decadent brew that is intended to be poured into your favorite snifter and given time to warm up from its dark and cold resting place. Be aware when in the presence of Dark Apparition ’cause this ghost is a creeper.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown/black with a slight tan head. Aroma is complex and darkly fruity. Full bodied. Flavors are dark fruit, treacle, and hints of chocolate and coffee. It’s not dry; it’s moderately bitter. There is a very massively complicated flavor profile which is very pleasing.

Flaska från SB. Svart med litet brunt och gräddigt skum. Kärv och välrostad impy med hårt rostade toner, torv, aska, lufttorkade charkuterier, avkok från enbärsris, skogiga toner, tobak, toffee, kaffesump, bränt socker med sötma från välsockrad kaffe. Mellanstor kropp, smooth. Ganska stor beska från granskott i avslutningen. Gott!

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 10 March 2018) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and dark fruit. Malty, roasted, fruity taste with coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, liquorice, burnt sugar, a touch of vanilla and a warming finish with a balanced roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Really tasty and fairly well balanced for its strength. Very nice.
