On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival. Courtesy of the meadery. It's an almost clear one, amber to brown in color, oily and flat. The aroma has a load of berries, raspberry standing out, with alcohol, a touch of flowers and cocoa, and of course some honey. It's warming, full-bodied and oily on the palate, super-smooth, with a light sugary flavor and feeling. Berry-driven flavor too, still raspberry doing most of the heavy labour. Alcohol notes, some flowery honey touches, cocoa and toffee, which I guess is from the barrel treatment, and then a quite intense and lasting flavor continuing in the same direction. Sure a delicious, complex and tasteful one. 191005

Bottle @ Bakgården. Clear, blood-red with a thin tan head that disappears immediately. Nice aroma of mild honey, red berries, malt, wood and smooth, warming alcohol. Taste is rich and balanced, still dangerously quaffable even if it’s very sweet. Seems to be a god balance here between sweet malt, honey and some lactose against mild acidity from raspberries and cherry together with the relatively high alcohol content. Complex and rich taste of honey, malt, lactose, cherry, raspberries, marzipan, wood, soft Bourbon and hint of chocolate. Full bodies, long lasting aftertaste and just pure joy. So tasty, so smooth - wonderful.
