Hazy chestnut with a lasting off-white head. Malty aroma with toffee and dried fruit. Sweet malty flavour with toffee, vanilla and honey. Classy strong ale.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, reddish, brown colour with average, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, sulphureous head. Sweet-ish, minimally sugary, caramel and dark malty aroma, hints of dark caramel, a minimally nutty touch. Taste is slightly sweet, minimally sugary, toasty, caramel malty, hints of dark caramel, burnt caramel, some burnt caramel bitterness, a minimally nutty touch, hints of alcohol-soaked dark fruit; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, dry and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Rather monotonous, unpleasant burnt caramel bitterness - not my cup of tea.
