Baltic porter by this Silesian craft brewery, thanks tderoeck for sharing! Medium sized, pale greyish beige, tiny-bubbled, opening head lacing in shreds over a black robe with burgundy glow. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, cognac, toffee, walnut paste, raisin, cashew nuts, port sauce, blue plum. Sweet, dark-fruity onset, dense, not sticky and though carrying candied plum and fig sweetness, balanced by a subtle, blackberry coulis-like sourishness; softly carbonated, smooth, full body. Toffee- and mildly dark chocolate-like, smooth caramelly, bittersweet middle, more sweet than bitter with that sourish edge continuing, developing a light but important toastiness in the tail; dark fruitiness lingers a bit, but the 'darkness' of the malts rules, further bittered a bit by leafy hops and warmed by brandy-like alcohol. Ends not as roasty as one would expect from a 'Baltic' porter, instead the finish is a more creamy, sweet and nutty one, more reminiscent of oldskool U.S. style imperial porter - but who cares, this is a very well-executed, streamlined, 'generically postmodern' strong porter and one I would love to revisit some day - maybe I need to seek out its barrel aged variants.

Je continue mon parcours de découverte des bières polonaises grâce à Marek que je remercie. Cet Imperial Baltic Porter est vraiment au top sur des arômes très appréciables. Tout comme les autres bières que j'ai pu gouter, il manque ce petit plus de densité qui aurait donné la touche de gourmandise supplémentaire qui manque. Mais globalement, cette Imperial Baltic Porter a de quoi vous faire passer un bon moment. En verre nous sommes sur un noir total avec une faible effervescence et une fine mousse brune. Joli nez sur le café, le moelleux au chocolat et le caramel. En bouche, si on peut regretter un manque de densité et une légère astringence, l'ensemble est très appréciable avec une bonne intensité. De légères épices viennent réhausser l'ensemble et l'alcool, à 11,5 % structure très bien l'imperial baltic porter. Le sucre n'est également pas trop poussée pour le style. Pas de réelles fausses notes pour une bière plaisante.

Vintage 2019, Bottled on: 03.07.2020. Piana ciemna, sina ciemna ciecz brazowo-czarna niczym oczy pewnego pirata..z Karaibow. Pachnie mocno przypalonym tostem, spalona karkowka na majowym grilowaniu, nieco wedzone. Troche rozgrzewajace, lekko kwaskowe, fajnie tonizuje to lekka slodkosc, ktora pojawia sie na poczatku, potem dominuje mocna i ostra palonosc, jakies beczkowe klimaty, ale to raczej nie bylo beczkowe, cos jak jakas dymna Whisky. Na sam koniec ciagnaca sie goryczka. Bardzo dobry pirat

Bottle. Dark brown, coffee foam. Aroma: sweet, wine, muffins, dried fruit, baked goods, soft and very good. Sweet taste, baked goods, dried fruits, soft, wine, muffins, syrup, very good.

Juz mocno utleniony w pumpernikel, ktory dominuje nad ciemnymi owocami i inszymi takimi porterowymi dynksami. Sporo ciala, slodko calkiem. Taki porter lodzki na sterydach.

Barwa niemal czarna, piana beżowa, obfita, średnio trwała. W aromacie czekolada, ciemne owoce w czekoladkach z alkoholem, minimalna kawa. W smaku półsłodkie, głównie czekolada gorzka i deserowa, ciemne słody, ciemne owoce, mało paloności. Goryczka średnia, alkohol nieźle ukryty, lekko grzeje w przełyk, wysycenie w normie, ciała nie brakuje. Brakuje mu nieco głębi i bogactwa, poza tym dobre piwo.
