Brännland Iscider PLEX 9818 representerar mötet mellan Petter Alexis Askergren och Brännland Cider, ett ärligt möte mellan kunskap, passion och erfarenhet.
Tillsammans valde vi att utgå från skördeåret 2016 och äppelsorterna Ingrid Marie, Kim och Aroma vars äppelmust koncentrerades med hjälp av naturlig Västerbottnisk vinterkyla. Iscidern jästes varsamt under våren 2017 och har sedan fått mogna under 12 månader på ett 114 liters ekfat tillverkat av Transylvansk ek.
Brännland Iscider PLEX 9818 är en iscider med djup mogen sötma och inslag av ek som balanseras av klara äppeltoner och den strama, friska syra som kännetecknar svenska äpplen.

[ As Brännlands Iscider P.Lex 9818 ].
ABV: 10.5%. Clear light to medium orange colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, rich apples, apple juice - apple syrup, concentrated apple - honey. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, apple, rich, concentrated apple - honey - apple pie, barrel - vanilla - sweet apple. Body is medium to full, texture is syrupy - smooth, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming. [20190927]

Clear amber. Aroma is apple and fermented apple slight cinnamon and cream. Taste is sour apple with sweet honey. Pretty balanced. Nice apple and vanilla finish.

Looks like Sherry or 25yo whisky. It's an amazing *adult* butterscotch candy apple aroma. Flavor continues that with a nice sourness on the finish, really great if you can get your hands on a bottle.

Bottle, many thanks Nische! Clear deep golden color with no head. Aroma is honey, red apples, barrel. Taste is honey, green tea, red apple jam, tannins, quite high acidity too, very cooked. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Texture is crazy and amazing, it has this kind of lively bite that you only get in the best TBAs.

Bottle. Dark amber. Apple cake with calvados nose. medium full dry sweet, a hint winegummy and honey, pretty nice. A hint boozy mead retronasal. Very intersting.
