Our first true spontaneous beer, originally brewed in 2015 and aged in second-use brewery barrels. In July of 2016, we transferred to different barrels with ripe cherries. Bottle conditioned with Oregon honey.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma is leather, tobacco, cookies, mousy. Taste is the same, dill. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not great.

Murky, thin head. Yeasty, soft cherry, yeasty. Stale? Certainly not in its finest form.

Weird caramel and funk. Dirty brown with a small beige head. Soured brown ale with a tart finish.

Bottle at Farmhouse Fest 2019, pours an opaque dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of chestnuts, wild yeast, and oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with oak, chestnuts, and tart red fruits. Deep and complex. Lovely. Rerate at brewery on cask: this is vile. Basically just vinegar. Terrible shit. 1.2/5. I'll keep my prior ating.

Bottle shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a slightly hazy dull purple with a red hue and an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has port and funk with earthy tart cherries and a hint of honey underlying. Flavor has funk, tart cherries and oak with a hint of honey underlying.
