At BXL. Almost black. Licorice, sweet bourbon, soft herbal notes, fresh coffee, alcohol. It’s nice but a bit rough.

Bottle 0.75l from the brewery, two years aged. Simply black. AROMA- sweet, coffee, nougat, Christmas bonbons with whole Christmas tree, bourbon, maple syrup. FLAVOR- smooth, quite sweet, moderately bitter, warming, pralines, nougat, coffee, maple syrup. Fuller to full bodied. Finally! Great imperial stout from Zichovec...
Podobna beczka do poprzedniego, ale te dodatki bardzo dobrze temu puwi zrobily, jakby slodsze i pelniejsze, ewidentnie kawowe, syrop pod kontrola. O dziwo ma kapke goryczki. Slodziutkie na sposob czekolady mlecznej.

750ml bottle as Barrel Project - Coffee + Maple Syrup. A bit stingy, edgy and sweet with some syrup, maple syrup, roastiness and coffee roastiness. Could've used some more smoothness and balance. Barrel notes were completely hidden.

75cl bottle at the Zichovec barrel tasting. F: thin, tan, quick gone. C: dark, opaque. A: rich dark malts, dark dried fruits, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, maple syrup. T: taste is full malty base, red wine, caramel, maple syrup, vanilla, red berries, bit oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, very good balanced, great beer.

Bottle at tasting. Dark brown with small off-white head. Peppery, coffee, maple syrup in aroma. Taste, sweet, mapple syrup, alcohol, coffee.

Bottle at tasting shared by Cuso, thanks. Malty aroma and taste, coffee, chocolate, medium sweet, light to medium bitter. Full body, malty chocolate and coffee bitter sweet finish. Very good.

Bottle at the Zichovec barrel tasting. Full body, med-high carbonation. Shitloads of chocolate, maple, moderate coffee. Med-high alcohol warmth, but well balanced. Moderate nuttiness. Very full, rich, chewy. Rewarding sipper. Great beer.
