Bottle 33cl. from Alehub @home poured into a chalice. Murky brown colour, only some foam while pouring, no head enlacing. Aroma vinous, fortified wine, soy sauce, dark fruit, wood notes, rum. Complex taste, above medium sweet and slightly bitter, light to medium sour, syrup, soy sauce, dark and red fruit, balsamico, alcohol. Full body, oily to sticky texture, soft carbonation, more sourness in the fruity aftertaste, wood notes, boozy, spicy notes, interesting beer, real sipper, not really my thing but quaffable.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 30.09.2025) im 2022-06 getrunken. Ein Wheat Wine aus dem Rum Fass? Hier bekomme ich n icht das was ich mit den Informationen erwartet habe. Eben ein leicht süßlichen Strong Ale mit kräftigen Körper und Getreide Aroma. Und das was ich hier finde ist ein fruchtig saures Stark Bier wo man nur schwer den angekündigten Bierstil erkennen kann. Klar eine Überraschung im Glas aber aus meine Sicht keine allzu schlimme da das Bier immer noch sehr stimmig ist und wer saure Biere mag findet hier ein sehr spannendes und gutes Bier.

(Bottle, 0.375 l - BB 07/2025, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. No head. Aroma had wood, smoke, red wine and sweetness. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, wood, red wine and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody and bitter. An unpleasant boozy brew.

375ml bottle. Stingy, woody and stuffy with some vinous notes, earthiness and tart berries. Feels a bit off.

Man man man, niet alles hoeft op hetzelfde zure vat te liggen daar bij La Calavera, echt werkelijk alles heeft dezelfde ‘zure’ smaak, vroeger vond ik het ok, tegenwoordig is het gewoon te simpel/beperkt..

Bottle. Color: Clear very dark ruby, very thin beige head. Aroma: Malty, sweetish and at the same time slighty sour, Rum, dark fruit. Taste: Rum, dark dried fruit, moderate bitterness, over moderate sweet and light sour. Wonder if this sour is meant to be, but it works out ok. Vanilla notes and boozy notes, hints of apple syrup. Spicy hints. Smooth mouthfeel. Full body, below average carbonation. Bit sticky mouthfeel. Nice slow sipper, although not one of the best from this great brewery.

Little cloudy red brown beer, small creamy irregular off-white to beige head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: soy sauce, dark olives, dusty, weird, yeasty, pretty dirty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: weird, sourish, funky, meat juice, sourish, very weird, balsamic vinegar, dusty, bitter, earthy, some tobacco. Aftertaste: sourish, quite some vinegar, infected. Not very good, alas.
