By nature a full-bodied beer, with a lovely initial sweet edge, a solid fruitiness, a sharp touch and citrus and spicy notes leading to a moderate final bitterness, La Fraîcheur du Soir will appeal to both casual drinkers looking for an easy-to-drink yet tasty beer and seasoned beer buffs looking for intensity and complexity. It goes perfectly with many desserts ans strong cheeses.

Bottiglia.

Sampled draft @ Bierrevier. Low hazy golden, soapy white head. Nose is sweet DE yeast, basic harsh plastic. Heavier carbonation. Taste is strong plastic banana, sweet, fizzy perfume, hay, cereal, crude, thick but fair.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Pleasantly hop-grassy nose, stays like that and is very crisp throughout. Refreshing and dry. An interesting take on a wit for sure!

Bottle @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Unclear golden with a big and lasting white head. Minor gusher warming. Aroma is sweet, malty, wheaty, citrus, spicy and herbal. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. Has an unclean feel to it. 100715

Many thanks to CH-303 for this bottle. Fresh and a bit perfumed beginning. Nice and full floral hops. Fresh perfumed and slightly sweetish mainpart. Round and smooth, nice fresh with a nice sweetish body. Floral ending with not too much bitterness. Nice! But for a Witbier a bit too sweetish without the distinct typical dryness.

Bottle. Lemon peel, coriander, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet lemon/orange, wheat malt and lightly bitter herbal flavor. Decent body.
