Elder sister of our Fraîcheur, it is too strong to be drunk during the day, hence «La Fraîcheur du Soir» (evening cool). A double wheat beer, i.e. brewed with about twice the amount of grain used for its little sister, containing pilsner malt, unmalted wheat and oats grown at the foot of the Jura mountains, cilantro, bitter orange peel, Magnum, Tettnanger and Spalter Select hops, fermented with a Belgian witbier yeast, and bottle conditioned, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

By nature a full-bodied beer, with a lovely initial sweet edge, a solid fruitiness, a sharp touch and citrus and spicy notes leading to a moderate final bitterness, La Fraîcheur du Soir will appeal to both casual drinkers looking for an easy-to-drink yet tasty beer and seasoned beer buffs looking for intensity and complexity. It goes perfectly with many desserts ans strong cheeses.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus, malt, wheat, and straw. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of peaches as well as medium notes of alcohol, and light notes of wheat and yeast, leading to a very fruity finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy golden, small head. Fruity nose with some lactic acidity. Medium-full bodied with soft mouthfeel. Vinous and viscous with coriander and warming alcohol, fruity with low bitterness. Interesting beer, but not one of the best from this brewer.

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey color ale with a light foamy head with low retention and no lacing. Aroma of sugary wheat malt with some light coriander and some orange peel. Taste is quite heavy with lots of sugar and some light spices. Carbonation and too low and refreshing factor is also to low for style. Overly sweet with not enough carbonation and lacking spices makes this a below average beer.

Bottle from the brewery
Hazy golden color; medium head; nice perlage, and a thin layer is persistent. Malt aroma, with light wheat and very light sourness. Good body strength, quite sweet too; there is some malt flavor and light wheat; strangely the alcohol feeling is higher than it really is, resulting quite boozy. The mix of sweetness and light fruitness is pleasant.
