Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a deep brown center with reddish edges, head was finger tan that dissipated fast. Aroma is dark chocolate malts, rich, fruits. Taste is light bitterness, roasted malts, ashy, smoke.

22/1/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery, part of a mixed selection case they advertised on fb. Pours dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is moderately roasted, malty, nutty, dark fruits and berries, chocolate, coffee, caramel. Moderate sweetness, with quite a biting roasted bitterness. Moderate body, a little thin for 5%, with soft carbonation. Bitter roasted finish. Not bad, nice aroma.

Handpull cask from the Blue Boar, Leicester. Mid- to dark brown, slightly translucent with a small khaki/tan head. Light nutty aroma, some carob, some toast. Tastes bittersweet with bitter cooking chocolate, a vegetal note (watercress?) along with a walnut character. Bitter hoppiness in the finish. Light body for the ABV.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal head. A vague sense of roast malts in the nose – not much else. In the mouth it is sweet with berry fruits and a hint of chocolate. A sweet finish with some alcohol. Rather nice

500ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium head. Aroma is slightly sour, some chocolate, little tar and earth. Taste has mild chocolate notes to start. Earthy, slightly sour finish. A little roast on the aftertaste. A bit watery.
