Bottle with my brother! Pours very dark brown with very little head. Aroma is lovely and complex. Mix of rich sweetness, with bourbon vanilla goodness. Big smooth body. Flavour is once again rich, deep and complex. Intense bourbon flavour, full of Oak and vanilla. Finish is boozy, full of bourbon and sweet. A lovely barley wine.

Bottle shared by Pilsnertest, many thanks, O! Dark brown with faint beige head. Big vanilla, toasted oak, kick of bourbon, caramel and raisin. Some coconut shining through too. Surprisingly not boozy at all

Dark brown with almost no head. Aroma is caramel molasses bourbon wood vanilla dissolved bonbon wood sugars coconut raisins. Taste is boozy and raisin sweetness with chocolate and not so much complexity. Vanilla in the finish also coconut. Heavy but not entirely smooth. Misses some complexity.

Bottle. Praline aroma, rumkugel, rich chocolate and bourbon/rum. Dark brown, low head. Medium body, sparkly, dry, oxidized, wood, leather, tobacco, sweet sticky, dates, fermented pralines. Very sweet boozy finish.

On tap in Oslo. Pitch black body, actually mostly pitch, pitchy pitch and a tiny hint of foam to remind you it's beer. There's a big smell of caramel and coffee on this with sweet barley notes on the nose. Flavour is big sugary fruitiness, raspberry and apple emerging from all the sweetness. Leaning toward excessiveness but pulling back at just the right moment, this has got it going on. Big and sweet, would go well with dessert or add a shot into some coffee.

Draught, taster. Tasted on the 11/05/2018 at "Mikkeller Beer Celebration 2018", Copenhagen. Cloudy copper colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is bourbon barrels, malt, brown sugar, caramel and dried fruit. Taste is bourbon, malts, burnt caramel and red berries. Medium sweet finish and medium carbonation. Strong but well balanced beer. Next one please!
