An imperial stout brewed with raspberries and Valrhona cocoa nibs. Rich flavours of chocolate and fruit collide with boozy heat.
Building on our repertoire of wild stouts we have combined our love of locally foraged fruits with our penchant for sweet dark beers. The combination of fruit and chocolate is always amazing and what better way to combat the cold nights of the changing seasons than with a rich warming stout?

Bottle at home, thanks to Leighton for ordering, 18/05/18. Black pour with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, red berry notes, mellow roast, caramel, raspberry jam, sweet malt. Taste comprises chocolate dipped raspberries, molasses, dark malts, mellow roast, red berry pips, shades of black forest gateaux, toffee, dark chocolate. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a bitter sweet edge and mellow boost. Decent enough impy but not blowing me away.

On tap at Lajbah, Ljubljana. Pours pitch black, topped with a thin and nonlasting beige head. Very fine chocolate aroma with a bit of fruitiness from the raspberries. Slight sweetness upfront, nice soury-sweet coke feeling, a bit on teh raspberry side. Gentle soury fruity finish, a bit stronger later on. Gentler aftertaste. Nice, fruity-soury imperial stout. Has it all.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of dark forest fruits, raspberry jam, cherries. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of forest fruits, soft roast, bitter touch. Aftertaste: bit acidic, some raspberry jam.
