It's back!! We are bringing back the overwhelming fan-favourite IPA #5 for the latest installment in our IPA Series. This DIPA is made with massive amounts of Simcoe and Citra hops, which are bursting with notes of bright grapefruit citrus, juicy tropical mango and passionfruit, with pleasantly dank, piney undertones.

473ml can from Battle of Bull, Cheras, Selangor, Malaysia. As IPA No. 15. Poured a hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, big tropical citrus, grapefruit, lemon lime. The flavour is moderate sweet and bitter, with a crisp, fresh, juicy, light tart, grapefruit, mango, light pineapple, floral hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Served at just the right temperature and not overly cool which is often a problem in SE Asia.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, packaged 23 Nov 2020, 3 months old, as IPA No. 15
Cloudy blond colour. The aroma is moderately dank. Lean mouthfeel, juicy hops, mostly grapefruit, it has enough bitterness, and nice alcohol warmth.

16oz shared with Alex at Andrey's. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: tropical fruits with citrusy notes and some weird notes. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: meh to me.

IPA No. 15, can from Cask & Barrel. Hazy, pale, bubbly head. Not the greatest look but about par for this style of beer. Has a big, bright hop aroma in the papaya/pineapple vein. On the palate, it's got alcohol, a bit of gloppy pale malt, lowish bitterness, lots of papaya sort of hop notes, maybe gooseberry. Not bad.
