Bottle. Has a clear straw colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of apricots, wine gums and pale malt in the background. Some cooked vegetables as well. Flavour of cooked vegetables, apricot jam and anise. Has a light mouth feel, light body and a soft bitterness. A whole lot of apricots and is pretty sweet.

May 2020: 330 ml bottle, batch #31, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat. ABV is 4.7%. Clear and very pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma of dried apricots and apricot essence, a bit "artificial". The flavour has the same apricot notes on the base of a run-of-the-mill pilsener, too modest hops. Nothing here to write home about.

330ml bottle, batch #42, bought at Gulating Ølutsalg in Tromsdalen. A slowly diminishing white head, late straw coloured body close-to-clear, clingy lacing. Modest smell of mid-sweet apricot and pale malts. Flavoured with grainy apricot, rather sweet. Prolonged finish. Soft carbonated. Gives some impression of a sweet soft drink. Quite possible to drink, though. (Tromsø 08.03.2021).

YG 270620. Golden color with a white head. Aroma is peaches, fruit, malt. Flavor is peaches, fruit, malt, grass. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. A lightly hazy pale golden colored beer with a small white head. Apricot, grass, mint hints, but little tti none malt aroma. The flavor has some pilsner, with apricot dominating. Grass in the back. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Apricot finish. A strange one, difficult to describe, and not very good either. 200627

Fruktpuré i bryggeprosessen er sannelig populært for tiden, og av og til lurer jeg på hvorfor alle bryggerier løper i flokk etter de samme nyhetene. Det er slett ikke gitt at det tilfører ølet kvaliteter. Slik som i dette tilfellet, det lukter og smaker kunstig aprikossyltetøy og lys malt, og det gir meg ingen god pilsneropplevelse, det flotte utsendet til tross. Snarere tvert i mot, dette er verre enn bakketjeneste.
