Draft at the brewpub. Aroma has caramel, orange candy, grapefruit, citrus and malt. Taste of grapefruit, caramel, malt, orange candy and a bitter finish. Nice.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours coppery gold with a white head. In mild light it looks copper. Aroma of fruit, pine, earth. Med + body. Flavor is malty, so this is not quite dry, but there’s a lot of floral/citrus/resin hop to hold the malt down. Not really dank, but it might not be all that far from it. Seems a bit juicy. Gets more fruit with time. Not harsh, just very hoppy and very bitter. Really good.

Beer No. 4 of my flight of beers at the brewery tap. Hazy orange colour, white head, nice lacing. Aggressively hopped aroma and flavour, also some sweetness, resinous and grapefruity, some alcohol sting.

A hazy amber red ale with a thin lacing off white head. Aroma of British and American hops, grassy, and fresh grains. In mouth, a good oily malt with c-hops, herbal, pinhey and pleasant. Rich and smooth. On tap at brewpub August 19, 2009.
