Mead with a distinctive, piquant taste. Produced with the addition of raspberry and dog-rose fruits.
Produced from honey mash from nectarous honey and water, with the proportions 1 part honey to 0.5 part water. It is matured for several years to stabilise it and make it completely clear. Alcohol content 16%.

Bottle @ benzai thx to martinus. Dark amber colour with no head ofc. Smells alcohol, caramel honey, cherry, sweet, wood. Tastes very sweet, honey, deep flavour, a bit alcoholic, some wood, slightly walnut/hazelnut. It?s great but a bit too alcoholic for me. Full body and warming.

250 mlk tasting bottle. Hugely rich honey nose, well aged and mellow, oxdized like a sherry. Deep orange amber with oily clear around the edges. slightly thick. Big honey flavor, sweet orange, alcohol, flowers. Very full and rich. Silky, oily, velvet. Excellent stuff. Had side by side with Kurpiowski, which has a lighter and fruiter flavor. That one is easier to drink a lot of, and lighter, this is very rich and good for a small snifter, lovely.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish amber, ruby when held to the light. Aroma is very honey, raspberry, touch of woodiness, spice. Very sweet honey and raspberry dominated, with a whiskey like note. Full bodied, syrupy mouthfeel. Not carbonated. Warming finish. Interesting desert mead.

Dobry wyrob pszczelarski. Pelnia slodyczy i miodu. Miod jest mardzo bardzo intensywny. Ma sie wrazenie jakby sam miod sie pilo tylko zadszy. Kolor intensywnie brazowo-pomaranczowy. Zapach miodu wiadomo. W tle ukryty alkohol ktorego sie nie wyczuwalo. Smak dodanego soku takze lekko jest zaznaczony, ale malo jest wyrazisty bo miodu jest ok 3/3 objetosci. Polecam.

Chilled 1 L glass bottle, not like the picture shown, poured into a snifter. Pours clear light red, medium body, and texture is extremely syrupy. Taste starts off off, then goes to big honey, and finishes nice raspberry honey. I thought I would like this more, based on the ratings.

Golden amber color. Flat, no carbonation. Cherries, honey, apricot, hints of wood and Chinese liquor (biajou) tempt the nose. Very well balance, never too sweet or cloying. Alcohol well hidden. A touch syrupy. Very smooth. Lingering sweet honey and cherries in finish. A touch warming. Excellent.

25 cl. fles gedeeld met Belgbeergeek & Sebletitje @ Belgian Ratebeer Winter Gathering of Ultimate Evil. Bedankt Seb. dat jij mij verteld hebt waar jij dit kunt kopen. Lichtjes donker, koperen vloeistop. Aroma is boordevol met honing, helder, zacht maar lekker dik, dikke karamel, lichte eik, alchol domineert lichtjes maar dit is niet al te storen en valt best te verwachten. Zachte, dikke, lichtjes olieachtige honing, dik, rijk aan suiker, heerlijk zoet met een prachtig blijvende honingzoetheid in de mond, fruit is minder uitgesproken dan verwacht maar geeft wel een mooi fruit likeur toets aan het geheel, frambozen zijn subtiel, getemd, heerlijk, lichte zoete kruiden en eiken toetsen. Vol, slik, lichtjes olie achtig, de meed blijft echt aan de binnenkant van het glas plakken … absoluut heerlijk – prachtige honingwijn. Pure klasse.

Colorado mead tasting 2012 - cloudy dark copper - nose of brown sugar, date, maple, raisin, fig - slick, smooth mouthfeel - a little boozy, but that is really the only drawback - flavors of raisin, fig, overripe banana, rum, molasses - finish of spiced rum - really tasty stuff.
