Mead with a distinctive, piquant taste. Produced with the addition of raspberry and dog-rose fruits.
Produced from honey mash from nectarous honey and water, with the proportions 1 part honey to 0.5 part water. It is matured for several years to stabilise it and make it completely clear. Alcohol content 16%.

Bottle, 16%. Good sweet and vinous aroma, quite boozy in the late nose. Clear dark copper, almost brown colour. Extremely sweet flavour, nicely spicy. Mild alcohol burn in the finish. Oily texture. Liquid candy.

Perfect copper colour. Boozy but not aggressive aroma of well matured honey. Sweet taste of honey and oak. Rich, a little oily finish. Really good.

Small 25cl bottle - Apis gift pack found at a honey shop in Brussels. Ambrée/cuivrée, huileux sur le verre. Arôme est assez terreux avec un miel très agréable, note sucrée/caramel avec un rappel très fleuri et ce bouquet de miel fermenté nettement plus en avant que sur la version Kurpioswki essayée en parallèle. Palais est doux avec des notes de candi sucré tout en gardant le profile épais du miel. Palais reste huileux avec ce fini sur des notes de sucre caramélisé, moyennement sec. Se boit plus en digestif et qcq cl suffisent.

Amber colour with no head. Fruity aroma that reminds me of sherry. Aslo a bit sour. Sweet and fruity flavour. Oily texture. Drinkable in small kvanta.

Aroma is sweetish with honey and some alcohol. Flavour is very sweet and rather rich on honey, some sugar and warming alcohol. Alcohol is also stinging on some sips. My first touch on the real Meads, nice.

750 mL bottle. Pours a clear, still reddish brown. Aroma is extremely potent, ridiculously sweet honey and raspberry. Flavor is again powerfully sweet honey, hints of berry, herbal hints blending into an overall dusty oxidative tone. Hints at its alcohol content only with the intensity of the flavor. Ridiculously sweet and equally tasty.
Update: After a couple days in the fridge, this has oddly gotten even better. The dusty flavor I described as oxidation is totally gone, and it’s only better now!

Bottle. Pours clear golden with no head. Tastes super sweet of honey and fruit. Tastes almost no aslcohol. Thick and incredibly smooth.

Small bottle (Thanks, Basia - you came through in the end). Earthy, fruity raw honey and alcohol aroma. Chestnut brown color. Smooth sweet honey flavor with hint of raspberry in the finish. Full bodied. Lives up to the hype - wonderful.
