Herbal hop nose with light pale malts. Very toasty character. Clean, toasty with light chocolate. Good, characterful dunkel that nonetheless could use more sugars.

500ml Bottle - Amber/copper coloured. Malty and fruity aroma with hints of dried fruit and spicy malt. Malty taste with fruit and moderate sweetness. Not bad, but nothing special.

Tap at Spuyten Duyvil - clear gold/copper with a thick, foamy head - aroma is doughy and vegetal, with some floral, spicy noble hop bite over the top of it - fairly sweet, honey-ish flavor - flowery noble hops are persistent, and give it a nice bitter kick - another good one!

(bottle) Clear, copper coloured with a medium-sized, slightly off-white head. Sweet, toasty, grainy and nutty aroma with herbal hops in the background. Sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Distinctive toasted grainy taste, also nutty with faint notes of honey; medium-dry, sweet and slightly bitter, malt-accented finish. Well-crafted Landbier (17.04.07).

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, amber golden with an off-white head leaving laces. Sweetish aroma of caramel and some flowers. Medium body with very sweet caramel malt and then a rather odd, underlying ashy edge. Very soft mouthfeel. No bitterness. 090407

Bottled. An amber beer with a dark beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with a light acidic note of citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel as well as light notes of citrus, leading to a dry straw and bitter end.

Bottle Clear, amber body. Looks very lovely. Frothy, off-white head. Nice aroma too, of flowers, hops, fine malts, ... Hoppy and malty bitterness in the flavour, the malts causing some sweetiness as well of course. Well balanced beer, with a little bit of complexity. I really like it.

Pleasant..............
