Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. An amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of butterscotch, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry butterscotch finish.

500ml bottle from Tesco. A chestnut colour with a thick, loose, cream head; aroma of raisins and fermenting grape; rich and smooth in the mouth, starting saccharin sweet, but developing a dry roast coffee finish.

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, small, lacing off-white foam; sweet-malty, roast-malty nose, almost a bit vinous; moderate bitter-seet flavour, medium bodied; a bit port-vinous, a bit roast-malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. O.K, not overwhelming.......

Bottle 500ml Amersham Tesco 02-05-06. A dark malty ale that couldn’t shake off the alcohol taint, it was present in both the aroma and taste and really spoilt this beer, I couldn’t even finish it as didn’t agree with me at all (without going into further detail) Very dissapointed with this. Maybe I had a bad one, I don’t know but I will not be rushing to get another one in a hurry.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Ruby red colour with thin beige head. Malty nose with red and dark fruits. Some balancing hop. Dead malt feel in mouth though. Finish has candy sugar, some fruit sweetness and touch of dryness. Nose is fine, but the rest was not that good
