(Bottle, 0.33 l - BB 11.07.2025, thanks Hermod, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had malts, apples and grass. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisins, prunes, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste had malts and bitterness. A delicious and balanced malty brew.

330ml bottle. Sweetish, syrupy and slightly oaky with some ripe fruits, plums, woody notes, whisky, toffee and caramel malts, dry finish. Okay.

Bottle from Belgian Brewed. Dark murky brown colour, thin beige foam. Nose of dried fruit: plums, apricot. Sweet malty with caramel notes. Some vanilla and a light bitter finish. Very well balanced for this high ABV. The barrel isn't overpowering but gives a smoothness to the beer. Rather thick and syrupy. Again a nice beer from Brambrass.

1 February 2020. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin, Niels & Cynthia! Hazy dark brown, lasting, small, frothy, tan head. Aroma of toffee, raisin, cake, fruit liqueur, dried apricot, orange peel. Taste has sweet toffee, apricot & raisin on solid cake-like maltiness, balanced by herbal & woody bitter notes. Lingering dried fruitiness & toffee in the herbal hoppy finish, with warming (but still subtle) woody whisky-like alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Thick, sweet Barley Wine in which the whisky has a supportive role. Looking forward to taste the others.
