Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (33A/26D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 1213 (SET.2022). AROMA: medium-high Brett-like aroma with stable notes, overpowering a low caramel and bread crust malt background. unbalanced. no wood notes. APPEARANCE: dark rubi color and hazy. excessive head with light brown color. good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma (brett-like) with a slight acidic note. faint malt background with caramel-like notes. medium-high bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish. PALATE: medium body with excessive carbonation. high hot alcohol sensation. OVERALL: a belgian dark strong ale overpowered with wild fermentation characteristics that mask the base beer and the wood.
