Burk från SB. Svart. Lite gröna äpplen i doften som känns off. I smaken soja, kaffe, nästan lite tonkasötma. En bit in kommer en snygg chokladapelsin-ton som av romerska bågar men som tyvärr försvinner igen. Nja, hittar inget riktigt rätt.

On tap @ Stigbergets Tap Takeover, Ghetto Something. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, licorice and orange. Pours pitch black color with thin creamy light brown head and good lacing. Taste starts with sweet chocolate, nuts and roasted malt, follows by orange concentrate and caramel, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is medium bitter. Full body, thick texture and soft carbonation in palate. Liquid Jaffa cakes on steroids...

Draught @ Brewskival 2019, Helsingborg, Sweden. Sweet, heavy and stingy with roasty notes, loads of chocolate, orange and toffee. A bit unbalanced.

Tap @ Uiltje Freshfest. Roast and orange in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, pear and orange. Perhaps a bit thin bodied for the type.

Flavoured imperial stout by this well-known and established Swedish brewery, from a can at Bar Beenhouwer in Ghent. Very thin, pale mocha-beige, loose and almost immediately dissolving head, black robe with thin mahogany edge. Aroma of melting toffee, milk chocolate, cola, sugared tea, beef stock (quite outspoken), cappuccino with a lot of sugar, coffee cream, bayleaf, molasses, plum compote, walnut butter and indeed candied orange peel, but hidden in the background. Sweet onset, candied dates, blackberry jam, emphatic beef stock-like umami, soft car, very thick, oily and syrupy mouthfeel; thick toffee-like malt body with bitterish black chocolate edges and a light toasty bitterness towards the end, with molasses sweetness only accentuating the toffee character. Orange peel remains a soft, ‘candied’ spicy accent in the finish, going a bit lost into this thick, sweet whole; hop bitterness also remains subtle and covered under thick layers of sweet-and-lightly-bitter malts. Very sweet, sticky, desserty stout – this one clearly is on the brink of entering pastry stout territory, as heralded by that other well-known Swedish name.
