(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, nuts and fruity and spicy hops. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light with a medium carbonation. Toasty malty base with caramel, berry-fruits and slightly herbal and spicy hops; moderately dry and bitter hoppy finish with a rounded malty touch. 01.I.10

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Starsβ Scottish beer festival, Bristol 02/09/09. Dark amber with a slight, off-white head. Red fruits and sweet malts all round with a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2008. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Sweetish fruity malty caramel flavor with some hints of dark fruit. Has a fruity malty dark fruit finish with some hints of caramel in the aftertaste.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear orangey brown with a small rough off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt and a little overripe fruit. Medium-bodied, nutty accents and roasted malt. Dry and lightly bitter finish. 070209

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white head. Mild roasted malt aroma with a light metallic touch. Sweet malty and slight caramelish note. Vague fruity and subdued hoppy touch. Ends medium dry and light hoppy with a lasting malt base.

Cask (handpump) @ Great British Beer Festival, GBBF 2008, Earls Court, London, England SW5.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. (080808)

Cask at GBBF08. Dark malt aroma. The flavour starts with a little butter, but turns more malty in a slightly sweet way. Medium bitter finish with a touch of alcohol.
