Dink pour from Brian, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma is quite decadent, with plenty of maple, lots of treacly honey, and a touch of oxidation. Flavour is intensely sweet, with decadent maple syrup, treacly honey, caramel, and a little oxidation. Doesn't quite have the body to back up the sweetness, but it may be the format I tried this on. Still, this is quite decadent.

Dark brown. Not a whole lot to get excited about on the nose. On the palate, it's got a nice soft maple sugar note, a light note of dark sugars - generic but combined with a mellow maple note and rich, luxurious body, it works way better than that sounds. A bit of vanilla maybe...there's a mystery something that I quite like.

Tap at MBCC. Pours dark brown. Aroma and flavor are really sweet, sugar, maple, honey. Not bad, bit too sugary, but more like proper mead than the usual fruit wines dressed as meads.

Tap. Dark brown color with no head. Aroma is maple, honey, forest, beeswax. Taste is maple, oxidized honey, brown sugar, very sweet, a bit boozy. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. A bit too sweet and boozy, but it works better than it should.

Draught @ MBCC '19 [ Red Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2019, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark.
[ As Superstition / Pure Project Super Maple Sugar Shack ].
ABV: 13.0%. Clear dark dark red brown colour almost black, with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy honey, wood, alcohol, sugar - candy, maple, barrel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, candy, honey, maple, boozy. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. IMO: to sweet - sugary and boozy ! [20190511]

MBCC2019 Red Session. Pours dark brown, no foam, looking oily. Nose is heavy sugared, some maple coming out also. Tastes sweet (of course), more of that maple and some wooden oak. Pleasant sipping liquid.
