Dry, which is different from Bird. But pleasant and easy drinking. Not what I was call “flavoured”... it’s pretty neutral and the bitterness/roast would make me think it’s a stout. Bird Amsterdamz

Ruikt naar een dubbel, vrij zoet, kruidig en bruine suiker. Smaakt roosterig, zoet, waterig. De choco is ver te zoeken. Meh.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Plus Culemborg. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Chocolate aroma is dominant, with some lesser roasted malts and coffee. Sweet taste with a low-bitter finish. Thin bodied with moderate carbonation. Solid if not a bit safe flavored porter.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drinks & Gifts', bottled in August 2020. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little fruity aroma of caramel, coffee, dark chocolate and a touch of dark fruits. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter and quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, lots of coffee, some licorice, light caramel and traces of dark fruits, followed by a short, quite roasty-bitter, slightly earthy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant beer, the chocolate and especially the coffee support the roasty flavours perfectly. Very solid!
