Good dark brown body and modest foam, hoppy copper amber lager notes on the nose. Flavour is good barley, crisp coffee, soft hop smoothness to even it out, dark biscuit. Okay carbonation but still a little thin. Adequate but that's about it.

On tap at Barnside, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out moderate toasted malt, English malts, and a little toasted caramel. Flavour is much the same, with lots of toasted caramel, moderate roasted malt, and a touch of butterscotch from what I presume is the English malt. Nice buttery caramel and roasted malty base that finished. Good stuff.

Dark brown. Good body. Some nice sugars, mellow chocolate character. Not bad, but almost a bit too light.
