Tangy red fruit, caramel, a bit of maltiness on the nose and tongue with a subtle hop and toasty, dry finish.

Clear 500ml bottle: poured into a UK pint sleeve on 27th Nov 13. Looked good: nice mahogany reddy brown body with a thin but full tanned covering. Clean and clear with carbonation bubbles rising throughout the tasting. Sweet malts ruled the nose and taste: treacle, toffee and caramel coming through in that order. The body isn’t thin, but it hasn’t got the depth to carry the sweetness very well, seems a little unbalanced and one dimensional because of that. OK, promises so much in looks and smell, but lacks a hop backbone and oomph.

reddish-brown colour, minimal and quickly disappearing off-white head; not too intensive aroma of fruits, taste of brown sugar and lost of fruits with some minimal hoppy bitterness; ok bitter, but rather fruitty than bitter in taste.

50 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 21.02.2010
Aroma is somewhat sweet with toffee, caramel, hay and English hops. Flavour is sweet with toffee, some ripe fruits, nuts, sugary notes and caramel. Too thin and light, 4,2% just isn’t enough.

Served on cask into a Green King pint glass at the Wheatsheaf, Frimley Green (A GK tied house) Jan ’12. Red to mid brown in colour with a small white head that was retained throughout drinking. No real strong smells coming out of the glass other that a sweetish malt aroma. Not the most exciting of beers in taste. Malt flavour, little bitterness, no hop notes present, a slightly sweet taste in the mouth with a slightly sour aftertaste, very subtle in this respect though! Mouthfeel was OK - watery without real body or substance, but I’ve had worse in this respect. Had that standard GK flavour!
