330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, spicy, dark malty aroma, notes of liquorice, a touch of tarmac, treacle, yeasty fruity hints of plum, dried fruit, a fruity hoppy touch of blackberry and blueberry. Taste is bitter roasty, dark malty, minimally ashy, notes of dark chocolate, Belgian chocolate, a touch of tarmac, treacle, subtle residual sweetness, a yeasty fruity touch of plum, plum butter and dried fruit, fruity hoppy hints of blueberry, blackberry, mild hop bitterness. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Very nice composition, quite roasty, nice fruity aspects - good!

Bière pression. Les notes grillées et mentholées se marient parfaitement pour donner une saveur intense et originale. C'est un véritable plaisir de la déguster, surtout directement chez le brasseur à Amsterdam. J'ai vraiment apprécié chaque gorgée et je la recommande sans hésitation. Si vous avez l'occasion de la goûter, n'hésitez pas !

Draught, 8.5% at Zest. Sweet liquorice aroma. Black colour, seems hazy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour has fresh coffee, mild cocoa powder, sweet liquorice dark syrup. Medium high bitterness. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but ok creamy.

Pours very dark, maybe not entirely opaque black, and a dense brown head with good retention. Aroma's: big roast, coffee/mocha, umami. Retronasal it's roast, sweetish, red fruit. Flavour moderate sweet and moderate roasty bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes with roast, moderate bitter.
