(Bottle 75 cl) Pours a clear, dark, nutty brown with a small, off-white head dissipating in no time. Sweet’n’sour lambicish aroma - or perhaps rather Faro? There’s some brown sugar in there, and woody almost bourbon style accents. Medium body with sweetish, oaky accents and a tart finish. Thanks heaps highlandlad for this gem. I really love Billy Bs... 080107

Brown, clear body. No head. Apple aroma with some fine malts. Heavily sour, lightly sweet initial flavour. Moderately sour finish. Not as sour as the golden, due to the maltiness. A perfect balance. Many thanks to Tony and Lach (mullet) for sending these over!!

Clear red-foxy beer with a small yellowish head, gone in seconds. Aged, dried apples on a sunny loft. Candied apple peel. Sweet-sour taste, in a perfect cider-like balance. Yet, apples, no extra flavours. Tart, with some adstringent to burning impression, and a fizzy MF. Incomparably better than the "Golden" version. Maybe this is how commercial Normandy cider ought to be. Not to be compared with real farmyard ciders.

Bottle at St George’s Cemetary RB Gathering. Many thanks to arleks and duff for bringing this. Black beer with beige head. Sour apple, some toffee and coffee. Sticky like a toffee apple. Bit sweeter than the gold one we had at Battersea. Good fun to drink though.
