Bottle @ fermentoren, Kbh. No head. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, apple, wood, alcohol and has a sweet warming caramel and apple finish. A bit boozy.

Thorogoods Apple Beer Dark Rated on June 7th, 2014. Aged version, thank you jonno! Pours dark brown, nice head and leaves some great lacing. Aroma is just mind-blowing, hitting your face with old apples, some stronger malt backbone, and apple cider. Taste can be described by tanginess, mouth drying citrus, sour apples, a velvety blanket wrapping around it and resulting in something that is decadently enjoyable. Mellowed in some ways but still sour until the end. I will remember this one.

Light brown and a bit cloudy. Wild nose, brett, loads of barrel like charred port and also quite of fruit. Taste is sweet, balsamic without the acetic, lots if appley finish. Alcohol is hidden. There us some subtle diacetyl notes that I’m not liking but I don’t get them with every sip. Fun, whacky stuff. Quite unique

Pours black with a small head.Aroma include apples, soft roasted malt and acidic fruit. Very interesting, very tempting.Quite acidic tasting, lots of apple flavour, but quite sweet as well with sugary notes, almost confectionery like, amongst the tartness. Not much underneath the apple, but delightful regardless!Moderately high carbonation works perfectly, very refreshing stuff.Ridiculously drinkable, especially considering the alcohol content, which is hidden perfectly!

Dark brown. Big light tan head that fades to a centimetre. Aroma has roasted malts just discernible behind intense, moderately acidic apples. Some spices - ginger and cloves - and soy sauce. Very smooth mouthfeel. Body is medium to full and just short of syrupy thanks to remaining C02. Noticeable alcohol. Sweet with soy sauce . Fruity acidity on the finish. A round sourness creeps up as you keep drinking. About 2/3rds down the glass I ate some Stilton with it worked very well. This cidery beer or beery cider is different from anything I’ve tasted before, but it works and is clearly very well made.[3.4]Bottle, 13C. Close to black. Fizzy tan head quickly fades to a coat. Aroma is first mellow apples and dark berries, then a touch of roasted malt, then barnyard. Creamy/ lactic mouthfeel stuggles against syrupiness. Sweet and mellow apples, some spices with modest and rather plain roasted malt at first and then feral tartness creeps up to balance. Like a mixture of scrumpy, porter and lambic. The roast is a bit nothing and sweetness is slightly over the top, but it’s still good-weird.

Cloudy dark brown color. Sour granny apples in mouth that are somewhat harsh. Unlike the golden this doesn’t have the balance. Appley acidic finish. Decent stuff on its own, but compared the golden, it must play in the shadows. Rerate: hugely acidic, sour nose with tons of stewed, spiced apples, dark fruit and a touch of brown sugar. Sweet, acidic, full body, tons of stewed spiced apples, dark fruit, boozy, never too sweet or cloying. Perfectly balanced. So sour, so perfectly made. Honestly this is mind blowing. Tons of stewed apples in the finish. Really top class.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a very fast disappearing light brown head. The aroma is lovely acidic apply combined with notes of wood and malt. The flavor is strongly apply with a slight acidity from the apples, which mixes beutifully in with the notes of wood and malt. Another masterpeice with a good body.
