Bottle at Kraft. Copper pour with a surprising amount of sediment. Nose and taste are intense dried fruits, vineous notes, oak, funk, tokaji, leather notes. It’s sweetish, and also somewhat acidic. It’s got a big body that the acids losen up a bit. Complex and fun to drink.

Barley wine vibes—prune, stewed fruits, brown sugar. Some age, caramelised, getting more brandy as it warms. Boozy.

Bottle. Old Ale aged for one year in freshly emptied Villa Zarri (Castel Maggiore) Brandy barrels. Aroma: Fruity (dried) grapes, sweetish and sourish at the same time. Taste: Like in the aroma sweetish and tart at the same time, alternating, bit sticky and boozy dried grapes, Brandy (distilled grapes), hints of red and dark fruit,. Some caramel. Hints of wild yeast funk. Over moderate sweet, moderate moderate tart. Dry-ish, wood and quite some tannins. Medium body, almost no carbonation. Unlike any other Old Ale I've had before. Very fruity and Brandy-like. Great complexity. Lovely.
